Facilities and capacity

The facilities found at the Bill Warren Training Centre - Winsport include several event spaces. Most prominent amongst these is the Haig Room which offers elegant decor, floor-to-ceiling windows that welcomes in ample natural light. A modern space with rugged touches such as its stone fireplace, it can welcome seated parties of up to 130 guests. Elsewhere, the Rundle Room provides a more intimate setting for dinner celebrations with close friends and family. An unassuming space, it allows couples to get creative when decorating. Furniture including tables and chairs can be included with rental of the venue. There is parking available on site.

Bill Warren Training Centre - Winsport’s staff offers couples a wide range of wedding services. They can take care of the setup and cleanup of any equipment rented from the facility. This includes a dance floor, barware and tableware, microphones, sound equipment, and a projector. The management can also provide access to an additional private room which can be used as a get-ready space or for storage.

Outdoor Ceremonies

There is something so effortlessly romantic about an outdoor wedding ceremony. Enjoy the mountain Views which display the stunning backdrop of Lady MacDonald and Grotto Mountain while exchanging your marital vows. This sophisticated approach is surrounded by natural settings that will complete your dream ceremony. The BWTC will provide chairs, archway, signing table, sound, microphone and set-up and tear down. You are welcome to provide decor and your own archway if you choose.

Cuisine

The kitchen staff of Bill Warren Training Centre - Winsport offers a wide menu choice that will satisfy the most hungry of guests. They invite attendees to come in from the cold and enjoy warm comforting mains such as prime rib beef and roasted chicken breast. Lovely wedding venue!

We loved our venue! Having a winter wedding we knew our ceremony would be indoors, but we loved that with the big windows at the BWTC we would still get a great mountain view! Andrea who is the event coordinator there is amazing to work with, and is actually one of the reasons we chose this place. She has lots of great ideas and really takes care of you. They give you guaranteed access the day before to do all your set-up and you have the option to clean-up at the end of the night or you can pay extra to go back the next day. The venue is up the hill and away from the town a bit which makes you feel a bit more secluded and makes for some great photos! I think the only part we didn’t really like is that you have to use their caterer who we didn’t end up liking that much. But other than that it was fantastic!

Amazing Event Space

We had our wedding of just under 70 people at the Bill Warren Training Centre (BWTC). We looked into it because of the amazing views from inside. When we met Andrea, the coordinator, we knew BWTC was the space for us. Andrea was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She helped us execute our vision for our wedding day. We had our ceremony inside and the lighting was great. The space was then transitioned for our reception and it also looked amazing. There is plenty of space and the floor to ceiling windows give BWTC a wow factor. Andrea has the experience and the knowledge to help you plan your event perfectly and was always responsive to my emails. When you talk to her, you feel confident in her ability to execute what you have asked of her and what she says she can do for you. We highly recommend this wedding venue.

Great communication, beautiful location and interior .

We found the Bill Warren after having to cancel our destination wedding, and having cornerstone weddings void our booking due to their double booking error. Bill Warren was our saving grace. Andrea ( the venue coordinator) met with us last minute and helped us get everything booked and a date so fast. We booked and got married within a 3 month time frame. This venue is beautiful inside, and the staff was amazing ! The price of the venue and the pricing for the bar is very good compared to most in Canmore. And chef Michael is the main foood vendor for this venue and he was AWESOME. We have had so many compliments from our guests . If you are looking for a wedding venue in the beautiful mountains, highly recommend !

Wonderful Venue!!

Planning an out of town wedding can be hard, however choosing the BWTC was the best decision we made! What a fantastic, beautiful wedding venue. The mountain view is incredible, the venue space is modern and location is wonderful. The venue itself doesn’t require much décor for a wedding, as it is already a beautiful space. Andrea the events coordinator is beyond amazing, and extremely accommodating for all requests. I felt like she went above and beyond for all communications, meetings ect. and we couldn’t be happier with how everything worked out! A really nice option is that you are able to access the day before to do all your set-up and you have the option to come back the next day to do your event clean up which is rare and a very nice opportunity. Since our wedding was in the winter, we held both our ceremony & reception there, and they took care of absolutely everything regarding changing over the room. Such a stress-free process! We would highly recommend anyone holding an event in Canmore to check the Bill Warren Training Center out, we are extremely happy and have nothing but good things to say about it!

Amazing Experience

After our previous reception venue changed numerous things on us only 7 weeks before the wedding (and made it impossible to have the day we wanted) we were scrambling to find a new reception venue and came across the BWTC. They (Andrea in particular, as she was our main contact) were so professional, communicative, supportive, and went above and beyond to make it the perfect day for us. Their preferred caterer, Bow Valley Gourmet was also incredible To work with. Michael made us and our guests the perfect meal even without us getting to do the complimentary tasting due to time constraints. I’m SO happy we found the BWTC and only wish we’d found them sooner! It’s a beautiful spot for a wedding and I’d recommend to absolutely anymore looking to have the perfect day.
